#71 – OWLS
The Adventure – OWLS and other FOWL
I’ve always loved Owls. There has always been something mysterious about them. With their large eyes, it’s as if they hold the key to the gateway of something unmeasurable.
And when I heard
that the snowy owls migrate to Boundary Bay and Reifel Island Bird Sanctuary, I will thrilled beyond belief.
A friend of mine took me to OWLS one day – the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society. I had no idea where I was going, or what I was doing, she just said she had a surprise for me that was worthy of an adventure.
And how glad I was to be so pleasantly surprised with the the gift of owls.
We made our way to the sanctuary in Delta, a place filled with rescued owls and other large birds.
I even got to get my picture taken with Santa and one of the rescued owls.
I still haven’t seen a snowy owl in the wild, but one day I will.
