#61 – POLAR BEAR SWIM
The Adventure: Polar Bear Swim
It was a cold day in Vancouver the day I decided to throw my body into freezing waters like an insane lunatic.
For whatever reason, I wanted a fresh start to the year and what better way to purge my past sins than by baptism?
Yeah.
All I remember is that I felt very very warm once I got out of the water.
Did I mention it was only 1 degree celcius at the time?
Not only did my brain go numb, but I suspect that I was going into some sort of hypothermic shock because, I swear, it really felt warm outside.
Only when I finally put on my long thick down jacket did I actually start to feel cold.
But the long and the short of it is that I had fun and I promised myself I’d do it again…some year.
